Relocation planning

First-week plan for employees relocated to Israel

How to structure the first seven days so new arrivals can rest, settle and start work with fewer surprises.

Protect the first 48 hours

Keep the first two days light: arrival, keys, groceries, a working phone and a short orientation of the neighborhood. Fatigue after travel leads to mistakes with documents and addresses, so avoid scheduling important appointments immediately after landing.

Sequence the rest of the week

Plan pending paperwork, a workplace introduction and safety briefings in a realistic order. Share a written schedule with times, addresses and a contact person, and leave buffer time for delays.

Practical checklist

  • Arrival contact confirmed
  • Keys and address shared in writing
  • Phone and transport ready
  • Written week schedule
