Relocation planning
Work relocation or Aliyah? Do not mix the two planning routes
Why employers should establish the employee’s actual immigration route before planning housing, documents or benefits in Israel.

Identify the route for this person
An international employee arriving for an assignment and a person immigrating through Aliyah may need very different planning. Do not choose a route based solely on nationality, language or the fact that someone is moving to Israel. Ask the employee and the qualified adviser to confirm the intended status and the documentation supporting it.
Keep benefits out of assumptions
Government housing information for immigrants describes assistance for the populations covered by that scheme. It should not be treated as an allowance automatically available to every overseas employee. When preparing a corporate housing budget, use costs the company has agreed to fund and list any potential public assistance separately until eligibility is confirmed.
Build the right document list
Keep housing and arrival coordination moving, but obtain the immigration checklist for the actual route. Explain to the employee which documents are for the landlord and which are for an authority. FullSettleIL can help organize practical paperwork and settlement without presenting one employee’s successful route as a guarantee for another.
Practical checklist
- Confirm the intended immigration status
- Verify benefits separately
- Budget without unconfirmed allowances
